Industrial Technology

Major applications within the Industrial Technology segment include water meter and automatic meter reading (AMR) products and systems for water utilities; pumps for irrigation, agriculture and wastewater applications; and instruments and consumables for material analysis and characterization. Our water-market businesses are bolstered by replacement or upgrades to installed water meters and growing demand for AMR solutions.

RF Technologies

Roper entered this market with the 2004 acquisition of TransCore, a leader in radio frequency technology for electronic traffic and tolling solutions and the largest freight matching subscription service in North America. The RF segment expanded in 2008 with the acquisitions of CBORD and Horizon, both of which provide integrated card and security software for food service solutions to educational and healthcare campuses, and Technolog, which provides advanced metering, data collection and communication technology for utility customers.

Energy Systems & Controls

Roper’s energy-related businesses focus on aftermarket customer needs to improve productivity, safety, quality and reliability. These businesses primarily provide systems to improve productivity in processing and transporting energy, systems and consumables for power plant safety and inspections, instrumentation for quality and regulatory testing and safety sensors for rotating and reciprocating equipment.

Scientific & Industrial Imaging

Our imaging segment is focused primarily on research and medical markets. We provide patient positioning devices for medical imaging and urology and consumables for ultrasound applications. Products within this segment also include filters, cameras and accessories for electron microscopy and spectroscopy applications, as well as rugged computing devices for utility metering and mobile applications.
